Our conviction and strong desire is to foster biblical, theological, and historical studies that strengthen the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s message and mission.

Journal of the Adventist Theological Society (JATS) is a refereed (double-blind peer-reviewed) scholarly journal, translated intermittently into German, Spanish, and Russian.

Opinions expressed in JATS are those of the authors and not necessarily those of the Adventist Theological Society.  The validity and accuracy of quoted material included in articles is the responsibility of the authors of the articles. It is hoped that the publication of various views will serve as a catalyst for further academic discussion. The journal welcomes the submission of other scholarly perspectives on published articles which will then be considered for possible publication.

If you're interested in submitting an article, please see our writer's guidelines here.
